Job description
- Deliver first and second-level support for hardware, software, OS (Windows, macOS, Linux), networks, and mobile devices.
- Monitor, triage, and respond to alerts from security tools (e.g., antivirus, EDR, NGFW).
- Support patch management and user education on cybersecurity best practices.
- Administer productivity tools (Microsoft 365/Google Workspace), VPN, and basic firewall/network configs.
- Manage user access and permissions in line with security policies.
- Assist with incident response efforts—triage, containment, recovery.
- Perform routine system health checks and support implementation of updates and security controls.
- Maintain accurate documentation of support issues, configurations, and incidents.
- Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to strengthen systems reliability and threat response
Required Qualification:
- BSc/HND in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years in technical support with exposure to cybersecurity.
- Solid grasp of OS and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365/Google Workspace administration.
- Knowledge of endpoint protection tools, security concepts, and common attack vectors.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to explain technical issues clearly.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CySA+, CCNA, or ITIL Foundation.
- OEM security certifications (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike).
- Exposure to SIEM tools and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with AI-powered helpdesk or IT automation tools.
