Job Summary

The UI/UX Designer will design, review, and refine Purelife’s digital interfaces, ensuring consistent, user-friendly, and scalable experiences across all platforms. This includes auditing current products for usability improvements, developing a cohesive design system, and supporting the design of new products and features aligned

Responsibilities:

Design Systems and Standards

  • Develop, document, and maintain a scalable design system for consistent design across all products.
  • Create reusable components, pattern libraries, and visual guidelines to ensure design consistency.

Audit, Review, and Refine Existing Products

  • Audit existing user interfaces and user flows, identifying usability, accessibility, and consistency gaps.
  • Propose and implement clear, measurable improvements to enhance user experience.
  • Maintain alignment of existing products with Purelife’s design system and mission.

New Design Execution

  • Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes for new features and products.
  • Conduct usability testing and incorporate feedback into design iterations.
  • Ensure designs are responsive and optimised for mobile and low-bandwidth environments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Liaise with engineers for seamless implementation of designs across products.
  • Collaborate with product managers, customer success teams, and stakeholders to align design with user needs and business objectives.
  • Advocate for user-centred design during product discussions and roadmap planning.

User Research and Data-Driven Design

  • Conduct user research, surveys, and usability tests to gather actionable insights.
  • Analyse user behaviour data to inform design decisions and iterations.

Brand Alignment

  • Ensure all designs align with Purelife’s brand guidelines, mission, and commitment to patient-centred care.
  • Support evolving brand visual standards to remain contemporary and user-focused.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of UI/UX design experience, preferably in tech-enabled products.
  • Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch).
  • Experience in building and maintaining design systems.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing design process and delivered UI/UX work.
  • Experience in conducting usability testing and user research.
  • Familiarity with accessibility and responsive design principles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Performance Expectations 

  • Delivering user-centred, scalable designs that align with Purelife’s mission and product strategy.
  • Maintaining and iteratively refining Purelife’s design system for consistency across products.
  • Auditing and improving existing product interfaces with clear, measurable improvements.
  • Supporting new feature design delivery within agreed timelines.
  • Incorporating user research insights to drive usability and user satisfaction improvements.
  • Collaborating effectively with engineers to ensure accurate design implementation.
