Job Overview:
The Youtube/Social Media Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing the company\'s social media and YouTube channel(s) to maximize views, engagement, and revenue.
This role requires a blend of creative content development and data-driven marketing to drive audience growth and ensure the channel\'s performance aligns with the company\'s brand and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy and a consistent posting schedule that aligns with brand objectives and audience trends.
- Define long-term channel goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within YouTube\'s search engine landscape.
- Produce, edit, and upload engaging, high-quality video content (including long-form videos, shorts, and live streams)
- Optimize all video titles, descriptions, and tags for maximum visibility and search engine optimization (SEO).
- Manage and create compelling video thumbnails and leverage SEO tools (like VidIQ) to improve search rankings.
- Engage with the audience by responding to comments, managing community posts, and addressing feedback to build a loyal audience and community.
- Implement strategies to promote videos across other social media platforms and external sites (e.g., Reddit, Quora) to drive quality traffic.
- Collaborate with other creators, brands, or influencers for cross-promotions and partnerships.
- Analyze channel performance using YouTube Analytics to monitor metrics such as views, watch time, subscriber growth, and engagement.
- Track and report on the effectiveness of content and marketing campaigns, using data to refine future content strategies and optimize ad placements
- Stay updated on YouTube\'s policies, algorithms, and content trends, ensuring compliance with all platform guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in managing and successfully growing YouTube and social media channels, preferably for a media or content-focused company.
- 2-4 years of experience in digital marketing or communications is preferred.
- Strong video editing and production skills with proficiency in software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
- Expert knowledge of YouTube SEO, algorithms, and best practices for audience growth.
- Proficiency in YouTube Analytics and SEO tools.
- Creative thinker with a passion for digital content and innovative storytelling.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
