Job Summary

  • Churchgate Group is looking for a high-calibre AI Transformation Lead to help drive practical AI adoption and workflow automation across the business. This is not a passive strategy or innovation role. It is a hands-on execution role for someone who can identify operational inefficiencies, design workable solutions, implement automations, and create measurable improvements in how the business runs. You will be expected to work across multiple functions, understand where time, cost, and management bandwidth are being lost, and use AI, automation, and process redesign to solve real business problems. We are looking for someone who is technically credible, commercially aware, highly proactive, and able to deliver with minimal hand-holding.

Job Details

What You Will Do

You will lead the identification, design, and implementation of AI and automation initiatives across the company, with a focus on tangible operational impact.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identify repetitive, manual, or inefficient workflows across departments
  • Assess where AI, automation, internal tooling, or process redesign can create meaningful value
  • Prioritize initiatives based on business need, ROI, complexity, and ease of adoption
  • Design and implementing AI-enabled workflows, automations, internal tools, and agent-based systems
  • Deploy solutions into live business use, not just prototype environments
  • work with teams across procurement, finance, HR, administration, operations, facility management, IT, and reporting
  • Improve turnaround times, reducing manual effort, and increasing process consistency
  • Build internal momentum for AI adoption through practical implementation and user training
  • Stay on top of relevant developments in AI, workflow automation, and agentic systems, and translating the useful ones into business applications
  • Help shape a practical internal AI roadmap focused on business value rather than hype

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role will be measured by real outcomes, including:

  • hours saved across teams
  • reduction in repetitive manual work
  • improved turnaround times
  • fewer process errors and breakdowns
  • better visibility and reporting
  • stronger internal responsiveness
  • successful rollout and adoption of implemented solutions
  • scalable improvements that continue working after deployment

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a builder-operator rather than a commentator.

The right candidate will likely have:

  • proven experience building and deploying AI workflows, automations, internal tools, or process improvements in a real business environment
  • the ability to move from problem diagnosis to implementation with limited supervision
  • strong ownership and initiative
  • comfort working across departments and engaging directly with non-technical stakeholders
  • sound business judgment and the ability to distinguish real opportunities from gimmicks
  • a track record of delivering practical outcomes, not just presentations or ideas
  • the ability to drive adoption and follow-through, not just build prototypes
  • resilience, pragmatism, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, imperfect environment

Requirements

Technical Experience

You do not need to have used every tool, but you must be technically credible and capable of building practical solutions.

Relevant experience may include some combination of:

  • workflow automation platforms such as n8n, Zapier, Make, or Power Automate
  • LLM workflows and prompt design
  • AI agents or agentic orchestration frameworks
  • API integrations
  • low-code / no-code automation
  • Python or JavaScript for scripting and integration work
  • internal copilots, business assistants, or AI-enabled operational tools
  • knowledge systems or retrieval workflows where relevant
  • working with ERP, HR, finance, CRM, ticketing, or operations systems

What matters most is applied capability, not buzzwords.

Preferred Background

Candidates may come from roles such as:

  • AI automation lead
  • workflow automation specialist
  • internal tools builder
  • applied AI operator
  • automation-focused solutions architect
  • technical operations lead with strong AI implementation exposure

Experience in a multi-function operating business, services business, real estate platform, or emerging-market environment would be an advantage.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field preferred
  • Relevant technical certifications are a plus, but real implementation experience matters more

What You Should Be Able to Show

Strong candidates should be able to demonstrate actual shipped work.

This may include:

  • portfolio of automations, internal tools, or AI systems
  • GitHub, demos, workflow examples, or case studies
  • Clear examples of business problems solved
  • Measurable results such as time saved, cost reduced, or process improvements achieved
  • Ability to explain how you designed, built, deployed, and improved a solution end-to-end.
