About the Role
We are looking for a strategic yet hands-on Assistant Brand Manager with strong commercial acumen and a passion for building impactful consumer brands. This is a high-growth role for someone who thrives at the intersection of creativity and data, and can translate brand strategy into winning execution plans that drive awareness, loyalty, and long-term value.
If you have a bias for action, a consumer-first mindset, and experience managing or launching brands in the FMCG, cosmetics, or personal care sectors (e.g., Lorna Nigeria, Rebecca Hair Fashion, Nature’s Gentle Touch, Visita), we’d love to meet you.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute brand strategies that drive market share, growth, and consumer affinity.
- Lead product launches, trade activations, in-store visibility, and digital campaigns.
- Monitor consumer trends, conduct market research, and analyze competitive intelligence.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, Production, and Creative teams.
- Manage pricing strategy, product lifecycle, and demand generation initiatives.
- Use performance dashboards, Excel, and CRM tools to track KPIs and optimize execution.
- Partner with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely and consistent brand delivery.
- Contribute to brand repositioning, portfolio management, or channel expansion projects.
What We’re Looking For
- 4–6 years of experience in brand management, trade or consumer marketing.
- Prior work in FMCG, cosmetics, or personal care sectors is essential.
- Strong campaign and go-to-market execution across online and offline channels.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to derive insights from KPIs and dashboards.
- Confident, collaborative, and comfortable leading without direct authority.
- Experience in fast-paced or entrepreneurial environments is a strong plus.
- A good cultural fit: proactive, solutions-driven, team-oriented, and humble.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
- MBA or postgraduate marketing qualification is an advantage (not mandatory).
