Competencies & Skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent Analytical Skills 
  • Familiarity with Windows Office Suite (Above average knowledge of MS EXCEL and MS WORD).

Educational & Professional Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent in IT
  • Demonstrate knowledge of computer usage proficiency and either or all of  Python, SQL.
  • Minimum of 4 years wok experience in EMV or related field.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Promptly convert data from clients into the various machine formats.
  • Promptly process, raise and send to production within 30 -60 minutes of file receipt.
  • Promptly decrypt and Log files processed with ”File Decryptor Tools”
  • Promptly escalate defect files to line manager.
  • Must log every file with defect into Issue Tracking and shared with Supervisors, RM, and Customer Services.
  • Follow procedures correctly.
  • Log jobs processed in the assigned log books.
  • Check EMP and UPSL server every 60 minutes for file upload.
  • Fill all forms (e.g. audit trails) promptly, accurately, and correctly – following laid down policies.
  • Generating embossing and mailing list for all relevant cards (VISA, Verve, and MasterCard).
  • First level troubleshooting and resolution of personalization and networking issues.
  • Escalation of issues to (Card Data Operations Supervisor) for second level support if issues cannot be resolved within 15 minutes of request. This is to be done on a 24 hours /7 days basis.
  • Record any visits to the data/ server room during shift.
  • Minimize losses to the barest minimum
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal customers.

  • Look out for relevant training for department.
  • Continually seek out new ways of improving our operations.
