About the Role
- The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee all financial and strategic aspects of the company’s operations.
- This role requires a highly analytical and business-oriented leader who can provide financial insights, guide long-term planning, and ensure fiscal integrity across the organization.
- The ideal candidate will have proven experience in financial leadership, risk management, and driving growth through sound financial strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s long-term goals.
- Advise the CEO and Board on financial performance, forecasts, and growth opportunities.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes.
Financial Operations & Control:
- Manage accounting, treasury, tax, and audit functions to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls and risk management systems.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements.
Business Performance & Growth:
- Analyze business performance and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
- Support strategic initiatives, investments, and new business development.
- Drive cost optimization and operational efficiency across departments.
Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with external partners such as auditors, investors, regulators, and financial institutions.
- Present financial results and reports to the Board and executive team.
- Maintain transparent communication and reporting with stakeholders.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
- Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA, CFA) required.
- Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and financial analysis.
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance, risk management, and compliance.
- Exceptional analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Experience in [industry name, e.g., technology, manufacturing, financial services] is an advantage.
