The Communications Officer will work with the Marketing and Communications units and other Directorates within MSI Nigeria Reproductive Choices to drive audience/client growth, brand awareness and corporate communication through traditional and new media channels.
Leveraging strategic communications approaches, digital marketing tools, and corporate branding opportunities, this role holder will develop and implement impactful communications strategies, digital marketing ideas and corporate branding products aimed at targeted audiences for MSI Nigeria.
S/he will create and execute digital and strategic communications (internal/external) products that will increase brand visibility, improve the public image of the organization on/offline as well as create demand for MSI Nigeria’s services such as the Medical Centres, Contact Centre and other channels of operations.
The role holder will coordinate with various field operational teams and other units outside the Programme Operations Directorate to execute relevant tasks pursuant to the job descriptions
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communications, Brand Awareness and Corporate Visibility
- Support the production and dissemination of internal and external communication products and tools such as articles, emails, Newsletters, Webinars, and Reports
- Research, fact-check, edit, and produce high-quality communications materials for timely dissemination to various audiences via digital, traditional and other communications channels
- Actively support the development of communication plans, tools and relevant branding materials for events, meetings, webinars and other initiatives in line with MSI Nigeria’s corporate communication strategies, policies and guidelines.
- Coordinate planning, ideation and development of relevant creatives, informational materials and coordinating with the creative teams to deliver according to organizational guidelines
Digital Marketing and Platform Management.
- Support the creation, execution, and management of digital marketing campaigns across social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Google, LinkedIn, YouTube, WhatsApp, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok, MSI Nigeria Website, etc
- Assist relevant teams in managing MSI Nigeria’s overall online presence and perception.
- Support in creating plans, executing and advising on the creation of digital campaigns across social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) and the MSI Nigeria website.
- Create and host original content (blogs, social media posts, podcasts) that attracts and engages audiences and clients.
- Measure and report performance of communications and digital marketing performance, campaigns, and assess results against goals (ROI and KPIs) using relevant analytics tools.
Integrated Communications and Digital Collaboration
- Support the motion and graphic designers in developing materials and creative assets to achieve demand generation and strategic communications goals.
- Collaborate with various teams to align marketing efforts with broader MSI Nigeria objectives
- Utilise relevant organisational insights, data, statistics, trends, and information to produce effective digital and strategic communications material, support new campaigns, and prepare plans, strategies, reports, and other products
- Assist the creative team in ensuring the style, flow, clarity, quality, language, and sensitivity of audience content
Educational Qualification and Experience
- A first degree in arts, social sciences or a related discipline
- Minimum of 6 years post-NYSC experience in Strategic communications, digital marketing or development communication.
- Proven track record of driving clients\' growth through digital marketing and communications campaigns.
- Demonstrated experience with WordPress, SEO, Email Marketing, and Google Analytics.
- Analytics. Experience in content creation using tools like Canva, Capcut, and Adobe Suite is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of working in international development, marketing, public relations, Sexual and Reproductive Health, maternal, Adolescent Girls, Gender and Disability inclusion is also an added advantage
