About the job
- Responsible for providing technical and functional support for the Oracle FLEXCUBE
- Universal Banking System (FCUBS), ensuring smooth execution of End-of-Day (EOD) and End-of-Month (EOM) operations.
- Incident resolution, system monitoring, and proactive maintenance to ensure 24/7 availability and integrity of core banking services
Responsibilities
- Provide Level Two support for FCUBS application modules, ensuring timely resolution of user issues and system incidents
- Monitor, manage, and execute End-of-Day (EOD), End-of-Month (EOM), and End-of-Year (EOY) batch processes, ensuring successful completion and reporting of exceptions
- Troubleshoot and resolve EOD aborts, batch failures, and interface errors (e.g. Payment, GL, CIF, Loans, Deposits, etc.)
- Collaborate with database administrators, system engineers, and vendor teams (Oracle) to analyze logs, fix defects, test and apply patches
- Review and validate daily transaction postings, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with operational standards
- Perform core banking configuration, parameterization, and deployment of approved changes.
- Support integration between FCUBS and other channels (Internet Banking, Mobile, USSD, Payment Switch, etc.)
- Document root-cause analyses, maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), and generate performance reports
- Participate in disaster recovery (DR) and system upgrade exercises
- Ensure adherence to ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management
- Provide user training and post-implementation support as needed
- Monitor service levels of core and related platforms; initiate activities to improve under-performing areas within the agreed SLA structure
Requirements
Key Skills & Competencies
- Background knowledge of Oracle FLEXCUBE (FCUBS) and core modules (CASA, Loans, TD, GL, ST, etc.), reconciliation will be an advantage
- Background knowledge of Oracle SQL or/and PLSQL for data extraction and issue diagnosis
- Fast learner in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and self-develop.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent team player
Educational & Professional Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Oracle SQL, ITIL Foundation, or related certifications are an added advantage
- Good knowledge of the Flexcube application will be an added advantage
