Job Role / Objectives
- We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Design Officer to join our team in Abuja.
- The ideal candidate will bring ideas to life across both digital and print platforms, ensuring strong visual consistency and alignment with the company’s brand identity.
- This role will involve collaborating with internal departments on design needs, producing engaging materials for a variety of media, and overseeing print production to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with departments, brief and advise with regard to proposal style, format, print production and timescales
- Prepare rough drafts of material based on agreed brief
- Prepare and review final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art and suggesting improvements if required
- Liaising with external printers on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality
- Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Communications, Graphic Arts or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in graphic design preferably in advertising or promotional design.
- Proficient in CorelDraw, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
- Solid understanding of design, layout, typography, and color theory.
- Strong creativity, attention to detail, and visual storytelling skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of Web animation or motion graphics is an added advantage.
