Role Purpose
Stanbic IBTC is seeking a visionary and execution-driven Head of Enterprise Architecture, IT Strategy & Emerging Technology to define, shape, and deliver the future state technology landscape of one of Africa’s leading financial institutions.
This role will lead the thinking, design and evolution of the Group’s enterprise technology architecture, drive technology strategy aligned to business growth ambitions, and identify, incubate, and scale emerging technologies that create competitive advantage.
The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of business strategy, digital innovation, execution, and enterprise technology governance, ensuring Stanbic IBTC remains a market leader in digital financial services.
Strategic Mandate
The role holder will:
- Define and continuously evolve the Enterprise Technology Blueprint for the Group Stanbic IBTC Holdings
- Translate business strategy into executable technology roadmaps, programmes & projects
- Drive cloud-native, API-first, and platform-led architecture transformation
- Lead emerging technology scouting, incubation, and commercialization
- Enforce architecture principles, strong architecture governance, standards, and technical guardrails
- Enable scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-optimized technology ecosystems

- University Degree
- TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent architecture certification

- 12+ years progressive technology leadership experience
- 8+ years in Enterprise Architecture, Strategy, or CTO-level environments
- Proven experience in large-scale financial services or regulated industries
- Experience engaging & collaborating in matrix environments (Standard Bank Africa Regions, Standard Bank Group)
- Track record leading transformation across multi-platform banking environments
