The aim of establishing this facility is to bridge the gap between the formal public health services and the health needs of the people especially those in rural areas. Responsibilities
- Maintaining hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS), EMR, laboratory, and pharmacy systems.
- Troubleshooting computer hardware, software, servers, printers, and network devices (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi) for staff.
- Protecting patient confidentiality by managing user access, firewalls, and conducting regular data backups and disaster recovery planning.
- Installing and configuring new systems, maintaining, and upgrading hardware and software.
- Training hospital staff on system usage, IT policies, and best practices.
- Liaising with external technology vendors and service providers.
Requirements
- A university degree in Computer Science, ICT, or a closely related field
- Strong knowledge of network administration, troubleshooting, cybersecurity, and data protection regulations.
- Proven experience in IT support, preferably within a healthcare or clinical environment.
