Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and networks;
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and routers;
- Provide technical support to users, including troubleshooting and resolving IT-related problems;
- Manage and monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs;
- Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and security;
- Plan and execute IT projects, including upgrades, migrations, and installations;
- Make an inventory of existing IT equipment in the form of a file to facilitate updating;
- Supervise day-to-day operations of network and server infrastructure;
- Evaluate and make recommendations for the development of common tools in terms of IT services;
- Support the roll-out of new applications;
- Maintain surveillance cameras;
- Perform ICT trainings for staff;
- Report monthly on activities to direct supervisor and the Regional I.T Officer;
- Perform any other technical tasks required by the organization.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field preferred;
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in an information technology role;
- Experience working with network and server management support;
- Up-to-date knowledge of new systems, information, software, hardware, and upgrades;
- Knowledge in ArcGIS software would be an added advantage;
- Knowledge of online platforms such as Office 365 and Sharepoint;
- Knowledge of Meraki Security Appliances and Managed Switches;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work independently and take initiative;
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multicultural and decentralized work environment.
