Role Description
- This is a full-time on-site role for an Information Technology Administrator, based in Lagos State, Nigeria. The IT Administrator will be responsible for providing technical support, managing network and system administration, and troubleshooting IT issues. Day-to-day tasks include ensuring the smooth operation of all IT systems, resolving technical problems, maintaining hardware and software, and supporting end-users.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software systems for the school.
- Monitor and maintain network and server systems to ensure maximum uptime and availability.
- Provide technical support to staff and students for hardware and software issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network and computer-related problems as they arise.
- Manage user accounts and permissions for network resources.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to protect school data and systems.
- Develop and maintain an inventory of school technology assets.
- Train staff and students on the use of technology tools and resources.
- Evaluate and recommend new technology solutions to meet school needs.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate technology into teaching and learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Information technology, information systems, or similar.
- Applicable professional qualification, such as Microsoft, Oracle, or Cisco certification is desirable.
- At least Five (5) years' experience in a similar role.
- Extensive experience with IT systems, networks, and related technologies.
- Solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Mac OS operating systems.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A passion for technology and a commitment to staying up-to-date on industry trends and advancements.
