Our company, ACE HUMAN RESOURCES CONSULTING, is recruiting an Information Technology (IT) Manager for our client Institution in Abuja. Our client was founded in 1969 by the few qualified General Practice Chartered Surveyors who were trained mainly in the United Kingdom. The Institution was granted government recognition by the enactment of the Estate Surveyors and Valuers (Registration Act) Decree No. 24 of 1975. Our client has grown and is now affiliated to the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI), Commonwealth Association of Surveying and Land Economy (CASLE), International Federation of Surveyors (FIG), Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN) and The International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, implement and monitor IT projects and strategies including networks, servers, and systems aligned with organizations objectives.
  • Ensure system security through implementation of cybersecurity measures and data protection policies.
  • Oversee IT support services including the maintenance of the college website and digital platforms, ensuring prompt resolution of technical issues and minimal system downtime.
  • Supervise and lead the IT team, including performance management and capacity building.
  • Manage IT budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures and compliance standards.
  • Evaluate and deploy new technologies to improve efficiency and business performance with e-learning platforms and digital classrooms.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications. (e.g. Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA)
  • Minimum of 5- 8 experience in IT management or any similar role.
  • Experience in academic or institutional IT systems is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, systems administration and cybersecurity.
  • Proficiency in managing IT support services and enterprise systems.
  • Experience with IT project management and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
