Overview Of the Role
- The Solutions Architect (Technology Consulting) at a Technology company will be at the heart of the solutioning and service-delivery value chain, aiming to drive better business outcomes and positive futures for clients.
- The role involves combining a clear understanding of desired business outcomes with technical expertise to analyze, propose, and implement digital solutions.
- The Solutions Architect will work closely with OEMs, vendors, technology consultants, business sector experts, and product managers to deliver innovative solutions and profitable business outcomes in enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Client Consulting and Solutioning:
- Lead consulting and discovery engagements with clients to identify new opportunities.
- Develop compelling proposals based on a deep understanding of customer environments and requirements.
- Facilitate high conversion rates, customer retention, and lifetime value.
Product and Content Development:
- Develop content such as proposals, technical responses to RFPs, white papers, technical concept notes, product plans, competitive battle cards, market analysis, and blog posts.
- Enable the marketing, sales, and product management teams with technical content.
Solution Delivery and Change Management:
- Develop solution architecture, project plans, workflows, PoCs, operating procedures, and training materials for digital business solutions.
- Implement processes ensuring efficient product development and delivery, adhering to agile best practices for change management and quality control.
Research and Development:
- Translate the Digital Business vision into business capabilities and solutions.
- Continuously evaluate and transform the product/service portfolio to achieve optimal market value.
- Drive research, development, adoption, integration, and transfer of ownership of new digital products/initiatives.
- Develop new business models and solution capabilities to accelerate business growth and deliver unique customer experiences.
Partnership and Relationship Management:
- Initiate and manage relationships with strategic vendors for technology innovation and digital transformation offerings.
- Develop relations with key technology and business stakeholders to identify technology trends and business priorities.
Talent Development and Capacity Building:
- Develop in-house competencies and support capacity building for digital technologies required by clients.
- Foster a work environment that encourages creative thinking, innovation, and rational risk-taking.
Thought Leadership:
- Provide thought leadership on product functionalities and design innovative cross-functional solutions.
- Act as a methodology expert and organizational-wide facilitator, supporting product managers in enhancing their practice.
Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification:
- University Degree in Computer Science or related field (STEM major).
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CGEIT, TOGAF, SCRUM, Lean Six Sigma, PMP are advantageous.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years experience in technical lead/architect roles, including large-scale IT and digital solutions projects.
- Expertise in IT Governance, Demand Management, Application Development, Digital Agile Delivery, DevOps, and Cloud Management.
- Experience in digital transformation projects, process, application, and/or data center modernization.
- Business architecture experience, particularly in consulting or relevant industry.
- In-depth knowledge of database technologies, coding languages (C++, Java, .Net, JavaScript, Python), and digital financial services.
- Experience with popular public clouds (AWS, Azure) and Fintech product design approaches.
