Summary

  • We are seeking a competent and proactive IT Hardware Engineer to manage, maintain, and support the hospital’s IT hardware infrastructure.
  • The successful candidate will ensure reliable operation of computer systems, networks, and connected medical IT equipment to support clinical and administrative services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, servers, printers, UPS systems, and other IT hardware.
  • Provide technical support to clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Monitor and maintain network hardware including switches, routers, Wi-Fi access points, and cabling.
  • Support IT interfaces for medical equipment and hospital systems.
  • Ensure system uptime, data security, and compliance with hospital IT policies.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and documentation.
  • Procurement of laptops, and other Gadget as required in the hospital.
  • Liaise with vendors for hardware repairs, upgrades, and procurement.

Requirements
Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2-6 years’ relevant IT hardware or technical support experience.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals.
  • Basic networking and server support skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues promptly.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Certifications (Added Advantage):

  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Network+
  • Microsoft or equivalent IT certifications

Working Conditions

  • Hospital-based role with on-site technical support responsibilities.
  • May require shift, weekend, or on-call support.
