- We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Infrastructure and Server Administrator to maintain and support our company’s server environment.
Responsibilities
- Install and upgrade server systems.
- Ensure servers are secure, optimized, and running efficiently.
- Perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Identify potential issues and problems, and address them proactively to ensure maximum uptime and server performance.
- Manage and monitor system resources including CPU usage and disk usage.
- Design and implement system architecture and perform hardware upgrades.
- Manage end users, set up user accounts, and oversee access rights.
- Provide technical support and guidance to users and other administrators.
- Create and maintain server documentation
Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Server Administrator or similar role in IT.
- Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management.
- Knowledge of system security techniques and data backup/recovery.
- Ability to create scripts in Perl, Python, or other language.
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus.
