Job Summary

The IT Assistant supports daily operations of the hotel’s IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth functionality of systems, hardware, software, and networks across all departments. This role assists in troubleshooting issues, maintaining data integrity, and supporting technology needs to enhance guest experience and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems, laptops, printers, and other hardware across the hotel
  • Provide on-site technical support to staff in resolving software and hardware issues promptly
  • Monitor and maintain the hotel’s internet connectivity and LAN/WAN infrastructure
  • Assist in managing hotel applications (PMS, POS, inventory systems, guest Wi-Fi portals, CCTV integrations)
  • Perform regular backups and support recovery procedures as directed
  • Maintain user access control, including account creation and password management
  • Log and track IT support requests and ensure timely resolution through ticketing system
  • Update anti-virus, firewall, and security patches to safeguard the hotel network
  • Collaborate with vendors for repairs, upgrades, and procurement of IT equipment
  • Support audiovisual setups for meetings, conferences, and guest events
  • Ensure adherence to IT security policies and protocols throughout the property
  • Assist during IT audits and in preparing compliance reports

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor\'s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • 1–3 years’ experience in IT support, preferably within a hotel or hospitality setting
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, hotel PMS/POS systems, networking fundamentals, and office productivity software
  • Familiarity with hospitality tech systems (Opera, Micros, Cloudbeds, etc.) is advantageous

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for staff support and coordination
  • Proactive problem-solving with strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • High attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Integrity and discretion in handling sensitive data and access permissions
  • Readiness to adapt to fast-paced hospitality operations and guest-centric needs

Working Conditions

  • Based on-site, with availability during early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
  • May involve moderate physical activity for equipment handling or site inspections
  • On-call support duty rotation may apply for after-hours technical assistance
