About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive I.T Officer with strong expertise in ERP systems (particularly Tally), LAN/WAN operations, and hardware maintenance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the company’s technology infrastructure, supporting manufacturing and administrative operations, and ensuring smooth functioning of all digital systems across departments.
This position requires hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting, software installation, network administration, and ERP integration — particularly within a plastic manufacturing environment where technology plays a critical role in production monitoring, accounting, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
ERP & Software Systems
- Manage and support the company’s ERP system (Tally ERP, SAP, or similar) — including installation, configuration, user access control, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with department heads (production, stores, accounts, sales) to ensure accurate data entry and synchronization between ERP modules.
- Provide training and support to users on ERP functionalities and updates.
- Work with external vendors or consultants for ERP upgrades, customization, or data migration.
Network & Systems Administration
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of LAN/WAN networks, routers, switches, and Wi-Fi systems.
- Ensure network security through firewalls, antivirus systems, and regular monitoring.
- Maintain backup systems, perform data recovery when necessary, and ensure data integrity and cybersecurity.
- Monitor and manage server performance, user accounts, and system permissions.
Hardware & Technical Support
- Install, configure, and repair computers, printers, scanners, biometric devices, and other IT equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all IT hardware to reduce downtime.
- Manage inventory of IT-related assets, ensuring proper documentation and tracking.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner to support uninterrupted operations.
IT Operations in Manufacturing Environment
- Support automation systems, production line monitoring, and data acquisition tools connected to the manufacturing floor.
- Coordinate with suppliers of industrial electronic systems for repairs or upgrades.
General & Administrative
- Develop and implement IT policies, security protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Manage software licenses and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies and recommend system improvements to management.
- Support email configuration, backup scheduling, and digital communication tools used company-wide.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 - 5 years of experience in an IT support or systems administration role (preferably in a manufacturing environment).
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (Tally required), LAN/WAN setup, server administration, and data security.
- Hands-on experience in hardware repairs, network cabling, software installation, and IT troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Windows Server environments, Microsoft 365, and cloud backups.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and ability to work under pressure.
