We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused IT Support Officer to provide technical assistance across the organization. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting users, maintaining IT systems, and ensuring smooth day-to-day technology operations. This position is critical for ensuring that staff can work efficiently and that IT resources remain secure and operational
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line technical support to staff, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
- Ensure timely troubleshooting and resolution of IT incidents to minimize downtime.
- Support system upgrades, patch installations, and routine maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, incidents, and resolutions.
- General day-to-day internal IT support
- Assist in implementing IT policies, security protocols, and backup procedures.
- Provide user training and guidance on IT systems and best practices.
- Escalate complex technical issues to higher-level support or vendors when necessary.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician are an advantage.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in IT support, helpdesk, or a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with Windows, Microsoft Office, email systems, and basic networking.
- Exposure to cloud-based applications (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace) is desirable.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and peripheral troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with networking basics (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPNs).
- Ability to diagnose and resolve common IT problems efficiently.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for user support.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Patient, approachable, and customer-service oriented.
Other Requirements:
- Flexibility and willingness to travel across Nigeria.
- High professional integrity and commitment to capacity development.
