Job Description
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications
- Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code
- Analyze user requirements to inform application design
- Develop and maintain APIs (RESTful/SOAP) for integration with external systems
- Ensure applications meet security and performance standards
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
- Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging
- Prepare and maintain code documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
- Apply industry best practices for software development
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 1-3 years’ experience in Java development
- Strong proficiency in Java SE/EE
- Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, Vaadin or similar
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is an advantage
- Good understanding of databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
- Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git
- Experience developing RESTful and SOAP web services
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional communication and reporting skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
- A portfolio or GitHub profile showcasing Java projects is a plus
