Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Technical Operations team within the Sound and Vision Department, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor reports and data to proactively prevent show losses and safeguard company assets.
- Audit and maintain the quality of all screen presentations (sound and projection) to exceed guest expectations.
- Oversee maintenance processes for all sound, vision, and projection equipment, ensuring consistent compliance with company standards.
- Drive cinema profitability by monitoring and controlling technical operational costs.
- Champion and enforce technical standards, operational procedures, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Maximize the performance of technical staff through strong leadership, coaching, training, and performance management.
- Lead recruitment, evaluation, and onboarding of new technicians from both internal and external sources.
- Identify opportunities for revenue growth through innovative cinema technologies and present them as new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with international technology providers and partners.
- Develop regional technical champions by training and mentoring selected internal staff.
- Streamline documentation, reporting, and requests processes.
- Oversee quality control (QC) checks for all multimedia content (features, shorts, adverts, trailers, subtitles, etc.).
- Provide access to training programs and workshops to promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Implement digital delivery systems for uploading and downloading directly to projectors from the support office.
- Conduct preventive checks and maintenance on projectors, lamps, and servers across at least three cinema locations each quarter.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in ICT, Media Technology, or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in cinema, broadcast, or audiovisual technical operations.
- Proven leadership experience in managing technical teams across multiple locations.
- Strong knowledge of digital projection systems, audio technologies, and cinema operations.
- Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and contribute to overall profitability.
- Experience with digital content delivery systems and enterprise software (Odoo experience is an advantage).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
