The Role
- Waywayves Media is seeking a highly skilled, organized, and technically proficient Media Producer to oversee the production and execution of our media programming.
- This role combines live broadcast production, newsroom coordination, digital media management, and content production oversight.
- The Media Producer will be responsible for managing live studio broadcasts, coordinating journalists and contributors, overseeing content production workflows, and ensuring professional delivery of all Waywayves media programming across digital platforms.
- This position requires both technical production expertise and strong editorial coordination ability.
Key Responsibilities
Live Broadcast Production
- Operate and manage live broadcast productions using OBS Studio and Elgato StreamDeck
- Set up and manage scenes, transitions, overlays, and live streaming configurations
- Monitor live broadcast performance and resolve technical issues in real time
- Coordinate live studio operations including camera feeds, audio, graphics, and guest integration
- Ensure high production quality and seamless delivery of all live media programs
Video Production & Post-Production
- Edit long-form and short-form video content for broadcast and digital platforms
- Produce motion graphics, titles, transitions, and visual elements that enhance storytelling
- Prepare recorded programs for distribution across YouTube and social media platforms
- Maintain visual consistency and professional production standards across all media outputs
Newsroom & Editorial Coordination
- Coordinate a distributed pool of journalists, researchers, and content contributors
- Assign production tasks and manage content schedules
- Ensure alignment between research, editorial direction, and program topics
- Oversee preparation of media segments and program structure prior to broadcast
- Ensure smooth collaboration between hosts, journalists, and production staff
Digital Media & Social Platform Management
- Manage the distribution of media content across digital platforms including:
- YouTube
- Instagram
- TikTok
- Facebook
- LinkedIn
- X (Twitter)
- Work with the content team to optimize content for engagement and platform performance
- Monitor audience engagement and recommend improvements to media strategy
- Ensure consistent publishing schedules and digital presence
- 5. Production Planning & Workflow Management
- Develop structured production workflows for daily media programming
- Coordinate guest appearances and interview logistics where required
- Ensure readiness of all technical equipment before live programs
- Maintain organized media archives and content libraries
- Continuously improve production systems and processes

Requirements
- Proven experience in media production, broadcasting, or digital video production
- Strong proficiency with OBS Studio
- Working knowledge of Elgato StreamDeck
- Experience with video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent)
- Experience with motion graphics tools (After Effects or similar)
- Understanding of live streaming and digital broadcast workflows
- Familiarity with social media publishing and content distribution
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work onsite and collaborate closely with the editorial team
