Job Summary
- The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining wireless network infrastructure with a focus on radio frequency (RF) technologies.
- The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience configuring and managing Wi-Fi devices, antennas, and radio equipment from brands such as Mikrotik, Mimosa, and similar wireless platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain point-to-point (PTP) and point-to-multipoint (PTMP) wireless links using Mikrotik, Mimosa, and other RF equipment.
- Conduct RF site surveys, link budget analysis, and signal optimization for maximum performance.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Wi-Fi routers, access points, antennas, and related network hardware.
- Perform routine maintenance, firmware updates, and system performance checks.
- Ensure network stability, reliability, and optimal throughput across all wireless links.
- Collaborate with the IT and infrastructure teams to integrate wireless networks with core network systems.
- Document configurations, network layouts, and maintenance records.
- Provide technical support and training to field technicians and users when necessary.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in wireless networking and RF systems.
- Proven expertise with Mikrotik RouterOS, Mimosa devices, and similar RF technologies.
- Strong understanding of IP networking, routing, and network security principles.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Mikrotik MTCNA/MTCRE, CompTIA Network+, CCNA) are an added advantage.
