Job Summary
- The NOC Support Engineer will provide first-line monitoring, troubleshooting, and technical support for Vitel Wireless’ network infrastructure.
- The role ensures continuous network availability, quick incident resolution, and proactive problem management to guarantee optimal service performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network systems, alarms, and events through NOC tools in real time.
- Detect and escalate faults, outages, and performance issues to senior engineers or vendors.
- Perform initial troubleshooting and resolution for common network issues.
- Log incidents and maintain accurate records in the ticketing system.
- Support field teams during maintenance, configuration, and change management activities.
- Assist in generating daily network health and incident reports.
- Ensure network performance and uptime meet SLA and KPI targets.
- Participate in 24/7 shift operations to maintain continuous NOC coverage.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- 1 - 3 years of experience in a telecommunications NOC or technical support environment.
- Basic understanding ofmobile network technologies (2G/3G/4G/LTE)andIP networking concepts.
- Familiarity withnetwork monitoring tools(e.g., Zabbix, SolarWinds, Nagios, Netcool).
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to workrotational shifts, weekends, and public holidaysas part of a 24/7 operation.
