Role Summary
- This role sits at the intersection of backend development, platform stability, and content management. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the backend systems that power the app, as well as ensuring timely content uploads and updates across all app modules.
- You will collaborate with our design, content, and strategy teams to ensure the app runs smoothly, looks great, and stays up-to-date.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Management
- Manage and maintain the backend infrastructure of the app (servers, APIs, CMS, integrations).
- Coordinate with developers to implement new features and improvements.
- Ensure system stability, data integrity, and performance optimization.
- Handle deployments, troubleshooting, and security protocols.
Content & Platform Operations
- Upload and update content across app modules.
- Ensure content is properly formatted, tagged, and categorized for the best user experience.
- Build or refine systems for more efficient content publishing and version control.
- Work closely with the content and creative teams to sync technical and editorial calendars.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Serve as the primary point of contact for technical operations.
- Coordinate with external vendors or freelance developers when needed.
- Track platform health and generate weekly reports on performance, issues, and updates.
- Advise leadership on technical priorities and improvements.
Ideal Profile
- 3–5 years experience in backend development, DevOps, or platform operations.
- Proficiency with backend frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Laravel, Firebase, Django).
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, server environments, and CMS systems.
- Experience with mobile app support (Android/iOS) and scalable backend architectures.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with content management tools like Airtable, Typeform, or low-code platforms.
- Prior experience working on lifestyle, city guide, or location-based apps.
- Knowledge of SEO, mobile performance optimization, or basic analytics.
