Job Summary
- The Entry-Level PR Officer will support the company’s public relations efforts by facilitating communication and coordination between the mining company and government agencies.
- This role involves organizing official visits, handling government relations, and assisting in managing the company’s public image within the regulatory and local government environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate and coordinate visits between company officials and government representatives
- Act as a liaison between the company and government bodies at local and state levels
- Assist in preparing briefing materials, reports, and official communication for government interactions
- Support the planning and execution of stakeholder engagement activities, including meetings, community outreach, and official events
- Monitor and report on relevant government policies and regulations affecting the mining sector
- Draft press releases, statements, and communications related to government affairs
- Assist in managing the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives in collaboration with government agencies
- Maintain accurate records of government correspondence and meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned by the PR Manager
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication, Political Science, or related field
- 1–2 year of experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic understanding of government structures and regulatory environment in Nigeria.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Willingness to travel locally as required.
