Description

SAP MDM (Master Data Management) Lead to oversee the design, implementation, and management of master data solutions across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP MDM tools, processes, and best practices, with a focus on ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and governance. This role involves leading a team of MDM specialists, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving the strategic direction of master data management to support business objectives. The SAP MDM Lead will play a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

MDM Strategy and Leadership:

  • Define and implement the organization’s SAP MDM strategy, roadmap, and governance framework.
  • Lead and manage the SAP MDM team, ensuring the successful delivery of master data solutions.
  • Align MDM initiatives with business goals and data governance policies.
  • Master Data Management Implementation:
  • Oversee the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP MDM solutions.
  • Ensure the integration of master data across SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Manage master data domains such as Customer, Vendor, Material, Finance, and Logistics.

Data Governance and Quality:

  • Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Monitor and improve data quality through regular audits, cleansing, and enrichment activities.
  • Resolve data-related issues and provide root cause analysis.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to deliver MDM solutions.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions to educate users on MDM processes and tools.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment of MDM strategies with business goals.

Project Management:

  • Lead end-to-end MDM projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, and deployment.
  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and resources for MDM initiatives.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project progress.

Technical Expertise:

  • Utilize SAP MDM tools and technologies to develop and maintain data models, workflows, and validation rules.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to MDM systems.
  • Stay updated on the latest SAP MDM trends, tools, and best practices.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the MDM landscape.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to improve system performance and user experience.
  • Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • SAP MDM or SAP MDG certification is highly desirable.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in SAP MDM, with a focus on leading MDM initiatives.
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing SAP MDM solutions in large-scale organizations.
  • Strong understanding of SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, SD, MM, HCM/SF) and their integration with MDM.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SAP MDM tools.
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and its implications for master data management.
  • Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with non-SAP systems and their integration with SAP MDM.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and their impact on master data management.
  • Experience in Agile or Scrum project management methodologies.

Work Environment:

  • This role may require occasional travel tother company locations or SAP events.
  • Ability twork in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
