Job Purpose

  • This is a critical role for the business and will suit an experienced data science or credit risk analyst looking for their next step up and lead the design and delivery of credit acquisition strategy (e.g. scorecard build and cut-offs / policy rule optimisation) and analytical support within the Bank.
  • You will also be instrumental in leveraging an incredible wealth of in-house data sources to identify and uncover trends that will support tangible outcomes and ensure the lending portfolio remains within agreed loan loss rate levels.
  • You will bring ingenuity and innovation and be proactive in the identification and application of data to increase efficiency, drive decision making and support the growth objectives of the business.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Data Analyst, you would:

  • Lead the development of credit risk acquisition strategies including scorecard build/cut-offs, and policy rule optimisation.
  • Leverage large in-house data sources using cutting-edge analytical techniques to develop actionable insights for C-suite leaders.
  • Drive the data driven decision making culture across the Bank through continued innovation and proactive application of data analytics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Product and Data Engineering on strategic growth initiatives.
  • Present insightful MI and recommendations to senior management and Credit Committees / Investors.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an analytical role e.g. Data Science / Credit Risk (essential).
  • Advanced skills in SQL, Python (Pandas, Numpy etc.) (essential).
  • Strong hands-on expertise in model building and validation e.g. Decision Trees, Random Forests, Logistic Regression (essential).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex analysis clearly.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Awareness of Compliance within a Regulatory environment.
