Job Objective
- We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to manage change requests, coordinate testing and ensure seamless deployment of updates within a mission-critical software system currently under development. This individual will operate at the intersection of project management, systems analysis and quality assurance, playing a key role in ensuring the platform’s stability, scalability and responsiveness to evolving business needs.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Change Management
- Receive, assess and prioritise system change and enhancement requests from multiple departments
- Evaluate the business value, technical feasibility and potential impact of each request
- Translate business requirements into clear, actionable documentation for developers
- Maintain a comprehensive change request backlog and communicate status and priorities to stakeholders
Testing & Release Coordination
- Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and other pre-release validation activities
- Collaborate with business users and developers to verify the accuracy and completeness of new features and fixes
- Manage issue tracking with suppliers, ensuring bugs are documented, resolved and re-tested
- Oversee or assist in the deployment and redeployment of system updates, ensuring minimal disruption
Project Oversight
- Track development timelines and milestones in collaboration with the external development team.
- Identify and manage risks, flag delays and handle project dependencies
- Ensure all documentation related to system changes and deployments is accurate, up-to-date and accessible
Technical Input
- Maintain a working understanding of the software architecture to guide decision-making and challenge assumptions
- Identify technical risks and potential downstream impacts of proposed changes
- Collaborate with the supplier on technical troubleshooting and solution validation
Minimum Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in technical project management, business/system analysis, or software delivery coordination
- Proficiency with project tracking tools such as Jira, Trello, or equivalent
- Solid understanding of software system architecture and design patterns
- Demonstrated ability to draft or review technical documentation, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and modern release pipelines
- Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman and a basic understanding of HTTP request/response mechanics
- Experience in coordinating and executing UAT and manual testing processes
- Proven ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for diverse stakeholders
