Job Description
- Implement/Maintain/Troubleshoot various layers & network technologies including Routing, Switching, Security, Wireless controllers & Access Points, and cloud networks.
- Design, configure, and deploy data center networks, enterprise networks, and campus networks to meet organizational requirements.
- Develop and maintain network infrastructure standards and documentation.
- Manage and maintain Cisco Nexus switches, Meraki MX, MR, Mellanox, and Ubiquiti network devices.
- Utilize intermediate to expert skills in routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, MPBGP, IS-IS) to maintain and enhance network routing.
- Understand and manage physical and virtual network technologies and how they interoperate.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Analyze network traffic patterns and optimize network performance.
- Design and implement network security solutions to protect against cyber threats.
- Create and maintain detailed network diagrams, configuration documentation, and operational procedures.
- Provide regular reports on network performance, incidents, and improvements.
- Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network services with other systems.
- Provide advanced technical support and guidance to junior network engineers and other IT staff.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to resolve complex network issues.
- Lead network-related projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on data center, enterprise, and campus networks.
- Extensive experience with Cisco Nexus switches, Meraki MX, MS, MR, Mellanox, Ubiquiti, and firewalls.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching technologies.
- Experience with network security best practices and technologies.
- VPN: Good knowledge of SSL VPN, IPSEC, Remote Access VPN, GRE, IPSEC VPN, Client VPN
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Available in a 24x7 on-call rotation?
- Experience with network automation and scripting.
- Knowledge of cloud networking and hybrid network environments.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and performance analysis.
- Experience in ITIL is a MUST
