Overview
- We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems and Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will play a pivotal role in securing, optimizing, and maintaining complex IT infrastructures. This position requires deep expertise in systems engineering and cybersecurity practices, enabling the provision of robust and secure technology solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network & Perimeter Security: Design, configure, and manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, switches, routers, SDWAN, and secure network segments.
- Systems Ad
- Security Tooling: Deploy and operate EDR/XDR, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, Email security, AD-aaS and identity/access management solutions.
- Cloud Solutions: Architect, implement, and manage solutions in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, M365 & GSuite products).
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular scans, penetration tests, and security audits; coordinate remediation efforts.
- Incident Response: Monitor security events, investigate incidents, and lead containment and recovery actions.
- Collaboration & Integration: Partner with project teams and collaborate with 3rd parties to embed security controls into new deployments and application rollouts.
- Policy & Documentation: Develop and update comprehensive security policies, procedures, and technical documentation aligned with best practices.
- Mentorship & Support: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and collaborate effectively within teams.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging threats, recommending enhancements to security infrastructure and processes.
Qualifications Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in systems engineering, network security, or cybersecurity roles. Proficiency with Windows, MacOS and Linux administration, virtualization (VMware, Proxmox). Hands-on experience with security platforms: firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, etc.), SIEM (Splunk or Elastic), EDR/XDR (CrowdStrike or Sophos).
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF) and secure network design.
- Experience in AWS and Azure Solution Architecting, implementation, and hybrid architectures.
- Proficiency in M365 & GSuite products.
- Knowledge of SDWAN technologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and mentor junior staff.
Good to Have:
- Professional certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, AWS Security or Solution Architect, Microsoft Security, CCNP, or relevant certifications).
- Knowledge of Hyper-V
