ROLE OVERVIEW

  • AREWA24 is seeking a highly skilled and creatively driven Senior Video Editor to lead the post-production editing process across film, television, digital, and promotional content. This role requires a master storyteller with a deep understanding of cinematic pacing, narrative structure, and visual rhythm, combined with advanced technical expertise in industry-standard editing tools and workflows.
  • The Senior Video Editor will play a key role in shaping final content, mentoring junior editors, and collaborating closely with directors, producers, writers, and post-production teams to deliver world-class productions that meet AREWA24’s creative and technical standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the offline and online editing process for scripted and unscripted productions, trailers, promos, and branded content
  • Collaborate with directors and producers to shape narrative structure, tone, pacing, and emotional impact
  • Interpret scripts, storyboards, and creative briefs to deliver compelling visual storytelling
  • Oversee assembly cuts, rough cuts, fine cuts, and final picture lock
  • Work closely with sound designers, colorists, VFX artists, and composers to ensure seamless post-production integration
  • Ensure projects meet technical delivery specifications for broadcast, streaming, theatrical, and digital platforms
  • Manage large volumes of footage, multi-camera edits, and complex timelines with efficiency and organization
  • Maintain high standards for continuity, visual consistency, and storytelling clarity
  • Troubleshoot technical and creative challenges under tight deadlines
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior editors and assistant editors
  • Stay current with evolving editing trends, storytelling techniques, and emerging technologies
  • Timely Delivery of Post-Production Timeline.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 8 years of professional editing experience in film, television, or high-end digital productions
  • Proven portfolio demonstrating strong narrative storytelling and cinematic editing
  • Expert proficiency in:
    • - Avid Media Composer (preferred for studio film/TV workflows)
    • - Adobe Premiere Pro
    • - Final Cut Pro (knowledge advantageous)
  • Strong understanding of post-production workflows, codecs, color pipelines, and delivery formats
  • Experience working with RAW, LOG, and high-resolution formats (4K/6K/8K)
  • Solid knowledge of sound design basics, music editing, and temp mixes
  • Familiarity with VFX workflows, conforming, and finishing processes
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced studio environment

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience editing feature films or premium television series
  • Knowledge of DaVinci Resolve workflows
  • Understanding of HDR and Dolby Vision delivery standards
  • Experience with remote/cloud-based collaboration pipelines
  • Leadership experience supervising post-production teams
