ipNX Nigeria Limited is a leading provider of infrastructure-based Telecommunications and Information Technology services here in Nigeria. Leveraging more than a decade of experience, the company was formed by the divestment of the telecommunications services division of Telnet Nigeria Limited and has been in operation for many years. ipNX currently provides a range of communications and IT services to Corporate organizations within Nigeria on its IP (Internet Protocol) based communications network using both radio and satellite communications technologies. As part of its growth strategy, ipNX seeks to also extend its services to small and medium sized businesses and residential customers. In the long term, ipNX has determined that it needs also to have a strategic presence in the wire line market to ensure that we will be able to provide future services, which require high bandwidth in the last mile.

The Role

  • Join our Technical Service Delivery team as a Service Fulfilment Engineer—the critical link between cutting-edge telecommunications infrastructure and exceptional customer experience. You'll execute end-to-end installation, configuration, and activation of Voice, Data, and Video services for enterprise customers across Nigeria.

What You'll Do

Installation & Configuration

  • Execute new fiber and wireless installations from planning through activation
  • Install and configure CPEs: routers, switches, IP phones, ONTs
  • Conduct last-mile troubleshooting to ensure quality service delivery
  • Maintain ipNX standards for safety, performance, and aesthetics

Collaboration & Documentation

  • Partner with NOC, Regional Team Leads, and Customer Care for seamless delivery
  • Coordinate with Infrastructure Teams on surveys, link tests, and measurements
  • Update installation records accurately in CRM, ERP, and OSS platforms
  • Escalate field challenges and provide timely customer feedback

Leadership & Quality

  • Mentor and train interns in technical capabilities
  • Participate in quality audits and process improvement
  • Manage company assets, tools, and equipment responsibly
  • Support enterprise deployments remotely and on-site as needed

What We're Looking For/Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or related field (2:1/Upper Credit minimum)
  • 1-2 years' experience in telecommunications as Network/Communications Engineer
  • Solid grasp of IP networking: LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS
  • Experience with fiber optic and wireless technologies
  • Hands-on configuration of routers, switches, and network devices
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting tools: ping, traceroute, cable testers, OTDR
  • Understanding of structured cabling and network terminations
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Visio)

Preferred

  • NYSC or internship in ISP/telecoms/ICT environment
  • Cisco Certification or PMP
