Job Summary

  • We’re looking for a purpose-driven Social Media Manager who’s passionate about education and storytelling.

Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement a social media content calendar across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Threads, etc.)
  • Align content strategy with organizational goals, program milestones, and awareness days related to education

Storytelling & Visual Content:

  • Curate and produce powerful stories from the field: teacher journeys, classroom transformation, student impact • Design visuals and captions that are informative, emotional, and shareable (using Canva or similar tools)
  • Capture events, workshops, or interviews to showcase in real time or as part of storytelling campaigns

Community Engagement & Growth:

  • Actively engage with followers: respond to messages, moderate comments, and nurture dialogue
  • Identify and build relationships with educators, education influencers, and aligned organizations
  • Grow audience base by 15–30% annually through organic and low-cost strategies

Performance & Reporting:

  • Monitor metrics (reach, engagement, growth, link clicks) and generate monthly performance reports • Adjust strategy using data insights to maximize impact and visibility
  • Coordinate with fundraising team to amplify campaigns and donor appeals on social media

 Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in social media management (nonprofit, advocacy, education, or similar)
  • Outstanding writing and storytelling skills, with a strong grasp of tone and voice • Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Express) and a good eye for visuals
  • Familiarity with platform algorithms, analytics, and social media management tools
  • Passion for education equity, teacher empowerment, and community-led impact
  • Self-starter who can work independently and thrive in a lean, agile team.

Added Advantage:

  • Experience in the education or nonprofit sector and Video editing or livestreaming skills for reels and community features
