- A Social Media Manager is responsible for developing and executing social media strategies to grow and engage the organization's online community.
- They create content, monitor social media channels, analyze performance, and interact with the audience to build brand awareness, drive traffic, and achieve marketing objectives.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of social media efforts
- Create and curate engaging and relevant content for various social media platforms, including text, images, videos, and other multimedia formats.
- Develop a content calendar and schedule posts for optimal reach and engagement.
- Monitor social media channels for mentions, comments, and messages, and respond in a timely and professional manner.
- Foster engagement and build relationships with the online community by actively participating in conversations.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the organization's social media following and expand its online presence.
- Utilize paid advertising and other techniques to reach target audiences.
- Monitor social media analytics and track performance using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and other relevant platforms.
- Create regular reports to assess the effectiveness of social media campaigns and suggest improvements
- Plan and execute social media advertising campaigns on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Optimize ad campaigns for maximum ROI and reach.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging social media platforms to ensure the organization remains competitive and innovative.
- Develop and implement a crisis management plan to address and mitigate negative situations or controversies on social media platforms.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (relevant experience can be considered in place of formal education).
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or a similar role.
- Proficiency in using various social media platforms and social media management tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creativity and an eye for design to create compelling visual content.
- Data-driven and analytical mindset to assess social media performance.
- Familiarity with social media advertising platforms.
