Role Summary.
- We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Technical Presales Engineer (Solutions Architect) with 4–5 years of experience to join our team. The Solutions Architect is a seasoned subject matter expert, primarily responsible consulting with the client and working with internal teams to create strategies, transformational designs and the architectural vision for complex solutions that address the client's needs.
- You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
- This role provides multi-technology consulting services on all aspects of application software, infrastructure and related technology components.
Key Responsibilities
- Contributes to the development of solution architectures in specific business, infrastructure or functional areas.
- Identifies and evaluates alternative architectures and the trade-offs in cost, performance and scalability.
- Produces specifications of cloud-based or on-premises components, tiers and interfaces, for translation into detailed designs using selected services and products.
- Design and implement end-to-end technical solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and architecture blueprints.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and frameworks to support solution development.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure architectural integrity and alignment with best practices.
- Conduct system architecture reviews and provide guidance on performance, scalability, and security.
- Create and maintain architectural documentation, diagrams, and technical standards.
- Designs components using appropriate modelling techniques following agreed architectures, design standards, patterns and methodology.
- Creates multiple design views to address the concerns of the different stakeholders of the architecture and to handle both functional and non-functional requirements, including proof of concept (POC).
- Support pre-sales activities by providing technical input and solution design for proposals and RFPs.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–4 years of experience in Technical Presales or Solution architecture roles.
- Hands-on experience with either of the key cloud and Hybrid platforms such as VMware, AWS, Azure, Oracle or GCP
- Client engagement and consulting experience coupled with solid experience in client needs assessment and change management
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and project management skills.
- Exposure to modern network and cloud network storage practice and design.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript) is an added advantage
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in cloud architecture (e.g., VMware, Azure, GCP, Oracle or AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
- Good IP networking background – Minimum CCNA
