About the Role
We are seeking a skilled UNIX/Linux System Support (Level 2) professional to provide advanced technical support, administration, and troubleshooting of Linux/UNIX-based systems. The role involves handling escalated issues from Level 1 support, ensuring system stability, and supporting infrastructure projects across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution of UNIX/Linux system issues escalated from Level 1.
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux/UNIX servers (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, Solaris).
- Manage user accounts, file systems, permissions, and security policies.
- Monitor system performance, logs, and resource utilization.
- Perform regular patching, updates, and system maintenance.
- Support storage, networking, and application integration with UNIX/Linux environments.
- Assist with system migrations, upgrades, and scripting for automation (e.g., Bash, Python, Shell).
- Document processes, solutions, and system configurations for knowledge sharing.
- Work closely with Level 3 engineers on complex projects and infrastructure improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or HND in Sciences, Engineering, Technology, Computing.
Certifications:
RedHat Certified System Administrator/Engineer (RHCSA/RHCE), Veeam Certified Engineer, NetApp NCDA, VMware, CompTIA A+.
Experience:
RedHat Certified System Administrator/Engineer (RHCSA/RHCE), Veeam Certified Engineer, NetApp NCDA, VMware, CompTIA A+.
Special Requirements:
Knowledge of IT standards; Technical troubleshooting; HPC Cluster support; Ansible scripting.
