Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Footage Review & Selection: Review raw material to identify the best, most relevant shots and create a shot list.
- Editing and Sequencing: Trim, split, and organize footage into a logical, engaging sequence that tells a coherent story.
- Post-Production Enhancement: Add graphics, animations, special effects, transitions, and text to enhance visual quality.
- Audio Engineering: Incorporate and sync audio, including dialogue, sound effects, music, and voiceovers, ensuring high-quality sound.
- Color and Quality Control: Perform color correction and grading to maintain visual consistency.
- Collaboration & Revisions: Consult with directors, producers, or clients to understand the project vision and implement feedback for final cuts.
- Technical Optimization: Optimize final videos for different platforms (e.g., social media vs. broadcast) and ensure proper formatting.
