Rec Room Wellness is a social enterprise dedicated to addressing the global mental health crisis by creating safe and brave spaces for relaxation, education, and fun. At our events, you will learn important topics to boost your awareness of your mental health, put words to feelings, and build resilience against the adversities of life. You also practice self-care activities, learn new hobbies, and create connections with like-minded community members.
Responsibilities
- Monitor discussions in Rec Room Wellness’ WhatsApp community
- Flag or remove inappropriate content in line with our Community Guidelines
- Welcome new members with warmth and offer helpful resources
- Share new Rec Room Wellness blog posts and official announcements with the community
- Facilitate positive engagement (ask questions, spark conversations, respond kindly)
- Encourage participation in ongoing campaigns, blog conversations, or wellness challenges
- Escalate serious concerns (e.g., mental health crises or harassment) to the Communications and Content Lead or Mental Health First Aider
- Suggest weekly conversation starters or polls to maintain community engagement
- Moderate the chat during live events and Q&A sessions
What to Watch For
- Moderators should stay alert to:
- Bullying or trolling
- Off-topic or spam posts
- Misinformation, especially related to health
- Inappropriate language or triggering content
- Signs of distress (e.g., suicidal ideation, threats, self-harm)
- If you are unsure about whether a post should be removed, take a screenshot and contact the Community Lead.

- Training resources will be provided during onboarding
