Job Overview

  • The ATM & Card Support Officer will provide technical support and ensure the smooth operation of ATM and card payment systems.
  • The officer will monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain ATM and card networks, support internal teams, and ensure compliance with banking regulations.
  • The role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail to maintain high availability, security, and reliability of all card and ATM services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for ATM, POS, and card systems
  • Monitor system performance and respond promptly to alerts or issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems efficiently
  • Perform preventive maintenance and system health checks
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams for system upgrades and maintenance
  • Support deployment of new ATM machines and card services
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, resolutions, and service tickets
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal operational guidelines
  • Support audits, security checks, and regulatory inspections
  • Provide guidance and training to junior staff and colleagues on ATM and card systems
  • Collaborate with IT, operations, finance, and customer service teams to optimize service delivery

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field with 5-7 years experience
  • Relevant certifications in ATM, card processing, or banking technology are an advantage

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent documentation and reporting abilities
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • High level of attention to detail and professional integrity

Technical Competencies:

  • Hands-on experience with Postilion FEP
  • Understanding of ATM and POS network protocols
  • Knowledge of card authorization, settlement, and reconciliation processes
  • IT troubleshooting, system monitoring, and network support skills
  • Ability to analyze system logs and identify root causes of technical issues
