The Group Head, Technology & Innovation is responsible for defining and executing the Group’s technology strategy, driving digital transformation, and ensuring the delivery of secure, resilient, and scalable technology solutions across the enterprise. The role oversees engineering, infrastructure, enterprise systems, and innovation initiatives to enable business growth, operational excellence, and superior customer experience.

Technology Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and own the Group’s strategic IT roadmap and operating model, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and portfolio priorities.
  • Provide executive oversight of enterprise-wide technology initiatives and innovation programs.

Service Reliability & Operational Resilience

  • Ensure best-in-class uptime and reliability across all critical systems and digital services.
  • Strengthening monitoring, incident management, and service management frameworks to support business continuity and consistent service levels.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Define and implement IT governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures to enhance operational discipline and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure enterprise systems meet security, regulatory, and risk management requirements.

Financial & Vendor Management

  • Drive technology cost optimization strategies, including strategic insourcing, automation, and vendor negotiations.
  • Manage technology budgets, ensuring optimal return on investment and sustainable cost efficiency.

 Stakeholder & Business Partnership

  • Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize and deliver technology solutions that enhance customer experience and business performance.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on technology innovation and digital enablement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  •  Relevant professional certifications such as ITIL, COBIT, PMP, TOGAF, CISSP, CISM, Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), or DevOps certifications are highly advantageous.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ progressive experience in technology leadership, IT operations, engineering, or digital transformation, with at least 5 years in a senior or executive leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide technology strategy and overseeing mission-critical systems within financial services (banking, insurance, asset management, fintech, or related sectors).
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale digital transformation initiatives, core systems implementations, automation programs, and infrastructure modernization.
