- The IT Officer will manage and provide technical support for the BankOne core banking system, including user management, basic configuration support, system monitoring, and liaison with the BankOne service provider to ensure minimal downtime and smooth banking operations. The role includes ensuring the availability, security, and integrity of all IT systems used by the bank.
- The officer will oversee network infrastructure, including LAN and WAN connectivity, routers, switches, firewalls, and internet services, ensuring stable connectivity across all departments and branches where applicable. Routine troubleshooting of network, hardware, and software issues will be required to support daily banking activities.
- The role also involves implementing and monitoring cybersecurity measures to protect the bank’s systems and customer data. This includes antivirus management, firewall configuration, access controls, data backup procedures, system updates, and basic incident response in line with regulatory and internal security policies.
- The IT Officer will manage the bank’s website and online presence, ensuring proper hosting, uptime, content updates, and basic web security. Support for email systems, internal applications, printers, ATMs/POS integrations (where applicable), and other banking technology tools will also form part of daily responsibilities.
- The officer will maintain proper documentation of IT assets, system configurations, licenses, backups, and incident reports. The role also requires providing IT-related guidance to staff, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with CBN guidelines and other relevant regulatory requirements relating to IT and data protection.
