Job Summary

The IT Administrator is responsible for managing all computer systems, software, network connections, and IT devices in the company. This person ensures everything runs smoothly, helps staff with technical issues, protects company data from cyber threats, and keeps all systems secure and up to date, the role is key to supporting efficient operations.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain all company computers, printers, scanners, and other IT devices.
  • Install and update software including operating systems, Microsoft Office, antivirus, and other work-related programs.
  • Set up and manage internet connections, routers, switches, firewalls, and internal networks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Provide technical support to staff on IT-related issues, both physically and remotely.
  • Monitor and secure company emails to prevent spam, phishing, and other cyber threats.
  • Set up multi-factor authentication, strong password policies, and antivirus protection.
  • Back up company data regularly and ensure it is stored securely.
  • Train employees on basic IT use and cyber safety practices.
  • Monitor systems for unusual activities or security risks and take quick action when needed.
  • Maintain proper records of IT equipment and software licenses.
  • Ensure that all IT operations follow company policies and industry best practices.
  • Assist in setting up new systems or upgrades to support business operations.
  • Respond quickly to IT emergencies to reduce downtime during production.
  • Work closely with external vendors or service providers when needed.
  • Stay updated on new technology and cybersecurity trends to improve systems

Job Requirement

  • Minimum 3 years experience in IT administration, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 admin tools, email security, and endpoint protection software.
  • Knowledge of firewall configuration, anti-virus management, and data backup systems.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, security-conscious, and able to work independently.
