About the Role:

  • We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Support Officer to assist in managing our organization’s technology infrastructure, provide user support, and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in network management, hardware and software troubleshooting, and IT security in the Finance Industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to staff and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Manage network servers and technology tools, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Monitor system performance and implement necessary updates or security patches.
  • Maintain data backup systems and ensure data protection in line with company policies.
  • Support the setup and maintenance of internet connectivity and internal communications systems.
  • Assist in implementing new IT projects and systems upgrades.
  • Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure proper documentation.
  • Train and guide users on IT best practices and security awareness.
  • Work closely with the cybersecurity team to identify and mitigate potential threats
  • Provide technical support for core banking app

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in IT support preferably in Finance, Banking or Fintech
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems, networking, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, cloud based systems and financial/ERP software.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, CCNA, ITIL) are an added advantage.
