CHDFNigeria is a non-profit organization that supports children and persons with Congenital Heart Disease popularly called Hole in the Heart in Nigeria. The foundation is envisioned to be the leading charity organization in Nigeria supporting the CHD cause. Our mission “to create a paradigm shift in the current status of congenital heart disease in Nigeria through awareness campaign and advocacy; support; education and research promotion” states the 4 main areas we are focusing on to achieve our vision.
- At The The Congenital Heart Disease Foundation of Nigeria (CHDFNigeria), we are on a mission to transform congenital heart disease care in Nigeria and we are looking for a creative, strategic communicator to help us tell that story.
- We need a passionate Social Media & Communications Manager who can build our digital presence, create compelling content, and help us reach more families, donors, and advocates across Nigeria and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute monthly content calendars across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X
- Create high-quality graphics, reels, short videos, and written content that communicate our mission
- Translate complex medical information into engaging, accessible content for a Nigerian audience
- Manage and grow our platforms tracking analytics and reporting monthly
- Write content for social media, newsletters, website articles, and press materials
- Design and execute social media-based crowdfunding campaigns
- Document organisational activities through photography and videography
- Engage with our community, respond to messages, and build meaningful relationships online
Ideal Candidate
- Degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Media Studies, Marketing, or Health Sector.
- Previous experience in social media management or digital communications
- Strong graphic design skillsproficient in Canva, Meta Business Suite, and analytics platforms
- Familiar with AI content generation and animation tools
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently
- Passion for health, humanitarian work, or non-profit communications is a strong advantage
- Medical / Health Related background is a strong advantage.
