VerifyMe is building the Nigerian trust infrastructure by offering digital identity and verification services to a wide range of industries and the retail market. Licensed by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), our verification services are available by API or via our full-service Managed Verification Platform. Our customers can leverage our services to enable contactless customer onboarding, confirm National Identification Number (NIN), Bank Verification Number (BVN), and Driver’s License (FRSC) and secure e-commerce transactions using our AI-powered facial recognition and liveness detection technology. All our verifications are compliant with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Tier III and Anti-Money Laundering (AML), we give decision-makers the tools to assess suitability for financial services and employment.

Job Summary

  • The Social Media Manager oversees platform strategy, publishing, community management, and analytics for assigned brands. The role ensures consistent engagement and channel growth while supervising the junior social role.

Key Responsibilities

Channel Management

  • Develop and execute platform strategies for VerifyMe and Pluto.
  • Schedule and publish content across platforms.
  • Optimize posting times, formats, and audience engagement.

Community Management

  • Maintain positive brand sentiment.
  • Respond to comments, messages, and mentions.
  • Escalate customer issues to Sales or Customer Support.
  • Escalate marketing or PR issues to Snr Marketing Manager

Event Coverage & On-Ground Support

  • Attend physical events, activations, and agent recruitment activities.
  • Liaise with the Creative Team (Strategist, Creative Lead and/or Video/Motion Designer) for best practices on type of content, shot lists, angles, and content quality.
  • Capture behind-the-scenes content, short interviews, and social moments.
  • Provide real-time posting support during events when required

Analytics & Oversight

  • Prepare weekly and monthly analytics reports.
  • Review and QA the Junior Social Media Manager’s analytics.
  • Share insights with Senior Marketing Manager.

Team Support

  • Guide junior staff on best practices and workflow.
  • Ensure calendars, posting schedules, and trackers are updated years in brand strategy or creative strategy roles.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in social media management, content creation, or community management, with a proven ability to grow and engage online communities.
  • Strong working knowledge of major social media platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.
  • Experience in developing and executing social media strategies, including content planning, publishing, and audience engagement.
  • Proven ability to identify and engage creators, brand advocates, and influencers to drive brand awareness and conversations.
  • Strong analytics and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret performance data and generate actionable insights.
  • A strong eye for visual storytelling and content quality; familiarity with basic graphic design or video editing tools is an advantage.
  • Comfortable balancing creative thinking with data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience using social media management and listening tools such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer, or Meta Business Suite.
  • Working knowledge of SEO principles, keyword research, and digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and community engagement skills.
