Our B2B business is handled by Pragmatic Technologies. This includes sales to corporates and our resellers. Our B2C business is handled by our subsidiary, BuyRight. BuyRight operates an online store, www.buyright.biz in addition to physical retail stores in Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abuja. More outlets will be opened in the future across Nigeria. Job Summary

  • The Social Media Manager will lead the strategy, planning, execution, and optimization of all social media activities to build brand visibility, engage audiences, and drive conversions.
  • The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, with the ability to manage multiple platforms, especially Meta (Facebook & Instagram), X (Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube, and WhatsApp Business.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with overall marketing and business goals.
  • Plan monthly content calendars across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, WhatsApp, etc.).
  • Identify and segment target audiences for tailored content and campaigns.
  • Monitor trends, industry news, and competitor activities to inform strategy.

Content Management:

  • Work closely with the Content Strategist/Copywriter to produce engaging and brand-aligned content.
  • Schedule and manage daily posts, ensuring a consistent tone of voice and visual identity.
  • Tailor content specifically for LinkedIn to position the company as an industry leader.
  • Coordinate with designers and video editors to produce high-quality creatives and videos.
  • Leverage user-generated content and influencer collaborations where applicable.

Community Engagement:

  • Actively engage with followers, respond to comments, DMs, and mentions across all channels.
  • Build and nurture strong online communities and brand advocates.
  • Engage professionally on LinkedIn with relevant industry stakeholders, clients, and partners.

Performance & Reporting:

  • Track and analyze performance metrics: engagement, reach, follower growth, conversions, and ROI.
  • Generate weekly/monthly performance reports with insights and recommendations.
  • Continuously optimize strategies based on data and platform algorithms.

Campaign & Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the Ads Specialist for integrated organic + paid campaigns.
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns, contests, live events, influencer collaborations, and partnerships.
  • Work closely with the Content/Copywriter to ensure messaging is clear, persuasive, and aligned across channels.

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

  • Monthly follower and engagement growth (per platform).
  • Engagement and conversation quality on LinkedIn.
  • Conversion rates from social media to leads or sales.
  • Content publishing consistency and timeliness.
  • Campaign ROI and performance metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of proven experience managing brand social media accounts.
  • Strong understanding of Meta (Facebook & Instagram), LinkedIn, X (Twitter), YouTube, and WhatsApp Business.
  • Excellent copywriting, captioning, and storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency with social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Zoho Social).
  • Strong communication, time management, and multitasking skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with influencer and B2B LinkedIn marketing.
  • Familiarity with social commerce tools and lead generation funnels.
  • Basic graphic design or short-form video editing skills.
  • Experience in a fast-paced SME or technology/energy sector.
