Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s/master's degree in Computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years experience in System administration, with 2+ years in a leadership role
- Experience in multi-location system management (preferably in banking/finance)
Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator,
- RHCSA, or equivalent
Skills & Attributes
Expertise in:
Stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills. Proven track record in navigating banking regulations while delivering iteratively.
- Windows Server & Linux administration
- Virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
- Automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, Ansible)
- Active Directory and identity management
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership Operational Excellence
- Serve as primary escalation point for all subsidiary system issues
- Coordinate with headquarters infrastructure teams on standards and upgrades
- Manage vendor relationships for subsidiary system infrastructure
Security & Compliance - Implement and maintain system policies across subsidiaries
- Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, ISO 27001 and other regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and patch management
Innovation & Modernisation - Plan and execute system capacity upgrades to support subsidiary growth
- Drive automation initiatives to improve remote system management
- Participate in disaster recovery planning for subsidiary operations
Team & Stakeholder Management - Lead a team of system administrators supporting subsidiaries
- Develop training programs to enhance team capabilities
- Implement performance metrics and service level agreements
